  • Jiwon Hwang is a rheumatologist, whose study has been focused on serum uric acid and its various associations, the phenotypic differences via metabolomics among various arthritic conditions, and the long-term outcomes of rheumatic diseases. Her research and writing is rooted within genuine interests in healthiness of human being, crossing the fields of rheumatology. Recently, she is translating the book, “Taming of solitude” written by Jean-Michel Quinodoz.
    She earned her doctorate in Internal Medicine at Sungkyunkwan University School of Medicine in 2014 and completed her internship, residency and fellowship in Samsung Medical Center by 2012. Since then, she built up her professional experience in several different places and now working as an Associate Professor in a tertiary teaching hospital, Sungkyunkwan University Samsung Changwon Hospital.
