  • Hyun-Sook Kim is a highly accomplished medical doctor and researcher, with extensive experience in the field of connective tissue disease (CTD) and interstitial lung disease (ILD). She received her Bachelor's and Ph.D. degrees from Kyunghee University College of Medicine in 2007. Prof. Kim also completed a Visiting Scholarship at the Clinical Research Center at the University of California, San Diego in 2012.

    Currently, prof. Kim operates the CTD-ILD Multidisciplinary Clinic at Soonchunhyang University Seoul Hospital. Her clinical and research interests mainly focus on systemic sclerosis (SSc) and CTD-ILD. She has published several research papers in top-tier journals in the field, which have been widely cited by her peers.

    Prof. Kim's research focuses on understanding the underlying mechanisms of SSc and CTD-ILD, with a particular emphasis on identifying novel biomarkers and potential therapeutic targets. Her work has significantly contributed to the understanding of the pathogenesis of these diseases and has led to the development of new treatment strategies. In addition to her research, Prof. Kim is committed to teaching and mentoring the next generation of medical professionals.
